Setting Up the Workflows

Tenrox uses workflows to automate and centralize the business processes of an organization. A workflow defines and automates procedures and processes inan organization. The workflows are created and configured by administrators to ensure all users use the same workflow to achieve a specific result. When a workflow is implemented using a software application, it guides the users participating in the process and allows them to record their tasks at each phase of their involvement.


A workflow consists of two or more states; it always includes a well-defined initial state and one or more final states. The action that causes the workflow process to flow from one state to the next is called a transition. Different users can be assigned to different states. Each user has certain privileges and responsibilities to move the process forward to the next state or assign it to other users. Therefore,, a workflow process may transit into different states depending on the conditions set.
